The season finished with probably the Clubs best effort of the season. In a high quality match, 13 Walthamstow athletes with 6 officials made the day a highly enjoyable one. Everyone seemed to be willing to give everything a go, which is always a sign of a healthy Club.

It was great to see Kash Iqbal return to racing after many years studying and also Godfrey's debut for the Club in the 400m. The Ovett-Coe clash of the day was the Pattison-Wilson 1500m. Rob held on to win by 0.4sec, but if only Dey had been closer at the bell,,,,,,. The other head to head was in the 5000m between the seasons Mr Consistency, Steve Surridge and the returning Danny Rose. Youthfulness {relatively speaking} just managed to pull away in the last mile to see Danny win.

Overall? Plenty of new faces gave the Club new hope for the future, but will they emerge fitter and stronger after a long winter? I really do hope so.
