A much stronger team turned out for this fixture. 15 athletes all performed with great spirit and gusto. The Club came second, behind the hosts, which is a good result. Most improved their efforts from the last match, especially the sprinters and our Essex Junior Shot Putt champion, Chris Linque. Once again we did very well on the track {barring the high hurdles}, but let ourselves down in some of the field events. We really do need a few 'strong' men.

We also did very poorly in the Gazebo tent event. A new transportation/construction/'checking all the bits' tent steering committee will be shortly set up.

I think we can say the team spirit is good, and roll on the next fixture at Harrow on the 26/6/04.
